When you sign up for ClickFunnels, you automatically get six types of core funnels, prebuilt and ready to use in your dashboard. I find them super helpful – as it’s so much easier to drag and drop something into a template than to build everything from scratch. A real time saver!
I have already gone through Funnel #1: The “Real Stuff” Funnel and Funnel #2: The Product Launch Funnel in detail. However, what if you’re selling services instead of products? Here is where Funnel #3: Perfect Webinar Funnel comes in handy. It works for products too, but are typically reserved for high-ticket items.
Tip: I always “clone” my funnel templates instead of editing them directly (learn how to clone a funnel here). In case anything goes wrong, I can still start from scratch with the original one! But don’t worry – you can also get a fresh copy of the Perfect Webinar Funnel here.
This funnel is based on a live event schedule. Let’s say you want to host a webinar on Thursday – like a product launch, you want to to promote this early and prime your audience. So a few days before the webinar (say, Monday), start pushing traffic to your registration page. Then when the webinar starts, stop all promotion to the event, because you now want to focus on converting your leads into customers.
In later blog posts, I will cover how to do a perfect webinar. This post is mainly about how to get people registering for the event (i.e. the left part of the diagram).
So, first up is a registration page promoting your event. The main point here is to create curiosity. Give people a hint of what the webinar is about, but don’t give away too much. If they think they already know what you’re talking about, or think that it will be irrelevant to them, then they are not going to register or show up.
After you create curiosity on the registration page and get your prospects to sign up for the webinar, you then need to create excitement on the thank you page. Tell them why you’re excited about the webinar, and therefore why they should show up! And this is also an opportunity to sell them something ahead of the offer, and it’s often nice to have something that complements the webinar.
Then, before the webinar date, you’ll want to keep people engaged and excited, so that they don’t forget about the webinar! Send them one follow-up email per day and direct them to these “indoctrination pages”. On each day leading up to the event, they will see one video, as well as what’s coming up to keep their attention. These videos are important in building trust and a relationship with your audience, effectively priming them for the webinar and the sales pitch at the end.
If you are already hosting webinars or are thinking of doing one, make sure you build a the perfect webinar funnel with this template. After all, what is the point of a webinar if no one registers and turns up? This funnel has been proven to convert well and is extremely easy to build with the drag-and-drop editor.
