Let’s start with Funnel #1: The “Real Stuff” Funnel.

Tip: I always “clone” my funnel templates instead of editing them directly (learn how to clone a funnel here). In case anything goes wrong, I can still start from scratch with the original one! But don’t worry – you can also get a fresh copy of the Real Stuff Funnel here. 

This is most similar to the McDonald’s scenario (which I described in this blog post). Remember the fries and coke? They are the “upsells” – i.e. what brings in more profit on top of the burger. When you already have the intention to buy a burger, it’s not that hard to convince you to get fries and a coke on the side, right? There’s no extra effort on your part, since you already have your credit card out (and you’re hungry!).

This is how you maximize profit from selling physical products.

This funnel uses a free sample or free offer (with a small shipping/handling fee) to get leads in.

The first page of the funnel looks like this: Big headline, testimonial videos (you can change to text or images if you don’t have these), more sales copy to convince your lead why they should buy (or at least try out) your product, and finally three options to purchase. Notice that throughout the sales page they are multiple call-to-action buttons to make the intention clear.

The next page offers an immediate best offer (an “order bump” – i.e. your fries and coke!) to increase the order value. Since your customers have already filled in their information and credit card details (yes, even for the “free” sample because of the shipping/handling fee), there’s very little effort on their part to get an upgrade apart from clicking one button!

Finally, it’s the order confirmation page!

This funnel has been proven to work well in the health supplement industry, where you have free trial or sample offers that can be upsold to subscriptions.
